EMMAUS is a Catholic lay movement dedicated to spreading the Good News and helping Mauritian families deepen their faith.

United in our Catholic faith and guided by the Holy Spirit, the spirituality of the Beatitudes and the humility of our Patron Saint, Father Jacques Desiré Laval, the Apostle of Mauritius, we commit ourselves to:

Organize spiritual and educational activities centered around prayer meeting and the study of the Holy Scriptures.

Encourage active participation in small faith communities (Base Communities).

Encourage involvement and integration in parish community life.

Promote a spirit of compassion towards less privileged members of society.

Help accomplish the church mission of evangelization.

Emmaus is open to all Mauritian and Canadian families who share its vision and are willing to work towards or participate in the accomplishment of its goals.
