Welcome to the site of the TransCanada Province of the Spiritans. We are a Roman Catholic Religious Congregation of over three thousand members, founded in 1703. Our missions are spread worldwide. While we may be found involved in many diverse ministries, we have dedicated ourselves to working with the poor and in those situations where the Church has difficulty in finding ministers. 8 Things happen Because there is life things happen. The seed slowly germinates and grows. My New Testament professor used to get excited about this and enthusiastically proclaim: "It grows all by itself!" Just like God's word, it has a life of its own. Things happen and sometimes we ask "Where is God?" Especially when bad things happen. A distraught parent, whose child has been killed in an automobile accident cries out to God: "Where were you when my son was killed?" And God understands this cry as he remembers the heartbreak of his own son being killed. Karl Jung desperately sought understanding of the depths of human behaviour. In human relations he was fascinated by how things happen. An ever present sign in his room read: "Invited or uninvited God is present".
