Jesus Is Given to His Mother
O Mary, silent, faithful Mary!
Simeon never said it would be like this.
But you stood by your Son until the end.
Now His torn, dead body is in your arms,
You take one long last look into His face,
The face that so resembled yours in life.
Help me to be like Him,
Help me to hear His word and keep it,
Then will we be brother, sister and mother.
Mary , thank you for staying till the end,
Help me to understand the secret of suffering and love
So that I may do the same.
